Why Should I donate to your school?

Our school is very low cost so that people of the community can enjoy martial arts.  Most, if not all, of our students (96% of them children) cannot afford the extremely high cost of other local schools.  The students need asistance with training fees, and other equipment. Students of Tae Kwon Do learn a life long sport, and participate in a purposful, positive activity.  Students learn skills for life. Participation in Tae Kwon Do can have many benefits to students from all walks of life. Parents have reported seeing an increase in their child's self esteem and self control, a rise in grades and performance in school and a sense of belonging that was previously not there. The alternative to being at the studio for many of these students would be "the streets", not a good place for these impressionable minds. Instead we give them an opportunity to train their bodies and minds in a safe, encouraging environment. You can help them achieve their goals.

Where do the donations go?

Donations go to the students, nothing goes to the school. Most of our students are limited, or even prevented from participating in tournaments because of their high cost, and lack of necessary protective equipment.  They just cannot afford it.  Money from donations helps students get protective equipment, pay for tournament fees, and travel / food while there.  None of the money is kept by the school.

What happens after I donate?

We will send you a picture of the student, bio, and a thank you card directly from the student.  You will also be kept up to date on their progress in the school, as well as at events (if you wish).

Can I sponsor a student?

Yes, students can be sponsored for their training on a monthly or yearly basis.
